The 8th Grade Division at The Philly FaceOff 2019 was loaded with talented teams and players, all looking to claim the spot as top dogs at this years event. One team in particular came in with a chip on there shoulder and left with a chip under their belts! The NY Rens, in their first tournament, ran through some very competitive teams on a collision course with one of the top 8th grade teams in the Nation, Team Takeover Jr EYBL. Takeover had also been impressive and dominant, mowing down the competition in a convincing fashion, en route to the Championship Game. The two would meet at the summit and the matchup did not disappoint. It was an end to end exchange of blows,as the game swung back and forth. There was big shot followed by big shot. Both teams made pushes only to have them answered by the opposition. When the clock expired, the New York Renesaince had emerged as the Philly FaceOff 8th Grade DIvision Champions in their very first outing as a Club. Congratulations to both teams on a great game and outstanding performances! Here’s a look at some of the players that stood out with outstanding play…
