Philly FaceOff 2019 was highlighted by dominant performances from the Team Takeover EYBL team, led by FaceOff MVP, considered by most as the top player in the class of 2020, Angel Reese. Reese has participated in the Philly Face’Off every year since it’s inception and has showed continued growth and improvement. In each game, Reese did not appear content with being the most talented prospect on the floor with superior size. Instead, she successfully set out to out work the entire field as well. She and Team Takeover claimed the top prize at the Philly FaceOff, the 2019, 11th Grade Division Championship! Her ability to dominate the game at both ends of the floor, as well as thrive in transition is a huge separator. We look forward to witnessing her very promising future with the rest of the world. Congratulations to our Philly FaceOff 2019 11th Grade Division Most Valuable Player, Angel Reese!

2021 6'1 Forward : Maryland's Finest 2021

Easily one of the most impressive teams that participated in the Philly FaceOff 2019, Maryland’s Finest 2021 delivered strong performances everytime out. There were some big tests enroute to claiming the Philly FaceOff 2019 10th Grade Division Chip but in the end, Finest stood tall and conquored all. Leading the way was super sophomore Chinwe Irondi ,our 2019 10th Grade Division MVP. Irondi was a steady contributor throughout, always among team leaders in multiple statistical categories. She and teammate Abby Cater combined to lead Maryland’s Finest to the crown, besting Bria Homes Elite in the title game. Congratulations to this promising group and our 2019 MVP Chinwe Irondi!

Kameryn Dorsey – Lady Thrill

2023 5'5 Point Guard : Lady Thrill 2022

The Maryland based, Lady Thrill 2022 team, came into Philly FaceOff 2019 on fire, after multiple strong showings and championship runs already this Spring. The dominance continued, as they plowed through Pool play. The Championship Game would prove to be their first real challenge. In a heavyweight, back and forth battle Lady Thrill found themselves tied at the end of reguation, with Philly Freedom Stars 2022. In sudden death overtime ,Lady Thrill and MVP Kamryn Dorsey only needed one possesion. After winning the tip, Dorsey’s right handed drive and layup clinched the Philly FaceOff 2019 9th Grade Division Championship title for Lady Thrill 2022. Congratulations to Lady Thrill 2022 and MVP Kameryn Dorsey!
