The Philly Face/Off brings several high quality teams and well-known programs from different parts of the country,  to the Philadelphia Area, all looking for serious competition and an electric basketball environment! Team Loaded has quickly become one of the premier Programs on the East Coast, in the last year. The Virginia based Program will be attending The Philly Face/Off in 2017, for the first time, with their entire girls Program.

We had the opportunity to catch up with Travis Richardson, Program C0-Director for Team Loaded and gain some insight into the upstart Program and its quick rise to prominence.

Coach Richardson, how did your Basketball Program get started?

“ Ty White, the Team Loaded Boys Director, approached Coach Richardson about the possibility of starting and growing the girls side of Team Loaded Basketball. I was excited for the opportunity and, of course, agreed to lead the Program along with Mike Davis.”

How have you been able to build such a strong and productive Program in such a short time?

“We are off to a great start, as a result of a lot of  hard work, relentless player recruiting and staying humble, Ty White has been huge for us, using his experience and influence from the boys side to help us become successful.. We put all of our trust in the lord!”

What has been Team Loaded’s biggest accomplishment so far?

“Our Team Loaded 16u team went 32-5, in its first season! We were able to make it to Deep South Championship Game, during the Spring Evaluation Period. We also finished as Adidas Gauntlet 16u Runner Up Champions in the Summer Evaluation Period.”

What can we expect in the future from Team Loaded ASGR?

“You can expect an abundance of talented, great kids, lead by great Coaches, competing for scholarships and championships”

What has drawn you to participate in The Philly Face/Off?

“There has been a ton of hype about the tourney. People all over have spoken highly of the quality of teams that attend and great battles during the event. We also wanted to come because of the great organization, The Philly Freedom Stars, who host the event”
